the article explains, "a church is something that cannot be defined under the u.s. constitution"..... wt lawyers explain to the court all of the time; 'you can't interfere with our internal church policies, or you will be infringing on our first amendment rights.

I was thinking of starting Church of Brunch, where Sunday morning "service" would be an elegant and tax-free brunch. Besides that, the most vital services Church of Brunch would provide would be for weddings and funerals. Lets face it, the only thing that a lot of people ever go to churches for is weddings and funerals. And rather than trying to come up with big Christmas/Easter holidays for CoBrunch, instead the church would have celebrations for birthdays and anniversaries (and maybe divorces sometimes).

But after hearing about this Church of Swing, maybe that's the way to go. Because I love to swing, especially rope swings over water!

after she was prepped in the receiving area, a sister from the hall showed up to be their for support.

we said good bye to her, and started to leave, and the sister stops me and says, "did someone pray with her yet?".

then the brother handling the part discusses what a "powerful witness" is being given each time those carts roll out into public view.. experiences: had a nice conversation with a young man.

I've just been disfellowshipped!

i was not informed (for 'legal reasons'), but they phoned my dad and told him.

i understand it is due to my apostate book.

We have a saying where I work, "If it isn't written down, it didn't happen." And in so many ways, that's proven true. While lots of stuff is said at work and instantly forgotten, my history in WTland seemed to be that lots of stuff is said and instantly gets completely twisted in the JW rumormill.

So someone gets announced at a KH meeting attended by a handful of people. Then the word is supposed to get spread to all the others that had better things to do that night. What was announced? Did they say, "Don't talk to him, because he's disfellowshipped for writing a book exposing WT teachings as wrong"? Why don't they get clear and put it in writing in a public place?

Oh, right, they don't do that because they're a cult that's afraid of lawsuits.

Next you can write a book about your experiences upon being expelled from a 19th century apocalyptic lying cult.

we haven't been to meeting since february, although we attended the memorial.

when jws have called us we say we are amazing, everything is awesome much to their shock.

That's "old light" when you pay attention to what ToMo3 says. And I think it's getting much easier for dubs to not pay attention to things they don't really care to hear from WT. I really think that we exJWs have paid much closer attention to the JW broadcraps than the sheeple do. I think my parents usually fall asleep when they try to watch those snoozefests.

how can protection from destruction at armageddon be solely with the jehovah's witnesses when the great multitude is one that no man could number while the jehovah's witnesses put great effort into cooking statistics of how many jws there are worldwide?

the unscriptural scare tactics they use are blatantly insulting to anyone who can read a bible.

And then there's the whole story about King David taking a census, consequently thousands of innocent people had to die. As much as WT loves the OT, they should realize that counting things is evil, consequently thousands of innocent people should die for WT's yearbook census reports... well, lets be obvious and state that all the millions of sheeple now living will die eventually.

This from the men who brought you the illustration: If you were offered a glass of water and you were promised that there was only a little poison in it, would you drink it?

So the sheeple are expected to donate money to an organization that has no transparency of exactly how and where the finances go, there is no auditing, and the only consolation is that the organization as a whole isn't completely corrupt? Then this organization would condemn a group of children celebrating a birthday because there were 2 birthday parties centuries ago that they would consider "corrupt" examples?

hey guys n gals, sorry its been such a long time since i've posted.

lately i've been very busy balancing between my school work and cult activities.

since i've been doing pretty well "spiritually"(enough field-circus hours, attending meetings, underlining my literatrash, reading, praying and serving as the mic-master) my coordinator grabbed me to the side after a meeting and talked to me for twenty minutes straight congratulating me about how good i am doing.. then he paused for a good five seconds and got all serious.. then he proceeded to tell me that the young ones in the hall aren't doing too well.

Yeah, that's some crazy pressure to put on a kid, like you're "a pillar" who's somehow supposed to help fix things for the elduhs. Where was Jehovah in preventing these bad things from happening? Was he snoozing or in the privy? Were all the angels too busy flying around JW litteratrash trolleys to come and help the "youthz" in your congregation stay on the straight and narrow?

If you're looking to fade, this situation gives you some useful facts:

When I was a kid and bad stuff like that happened in a hall, the rumor was "they've mourned Jehovah's spirit" or "Jehovah's spirit isn't with that congregation". There is no guarantee in the JWs that your congregation will be a "spiritual paradise". And the local KH can become an embarrassment in the community when "worldly people" find out that there are bad JWs.
Just because someone is a JW, it doesn't mean they are a good person and should be trusted. Actually, I used to be surprised and disappointed at how dramas and experiences would have other JW kids as the troublemaker villains leading the protagonists away from da troof. I really felt there was a huge mistrust and suspicion of kids at the hall that weren't all 100% goody-goody. So, any less than exemplary kids at the hall can easily be labeled "bad association." Ironically, there were a lot of those "exemplary kids" at the hall that were found out to be living "double lives". So really, the exemplary kids at the hall are also possibly "bad association." Talk about a network of suspicion.
